Lane points out that Lio Rush received some backlash last week after tweeting out a controversial joke regarding Emma’s release from WWE. Gilbertti points out that like a lot of talents at WWE’s Performance Centre, Rush is young and will learn from this mistake. He also points out that WWE does some social media training classes, and perhaps they need to do more of that type of stuff.

Speaking about the recent Chris Jericho/Kenny Omega Twitter feud, Gilbertti says that he’s not so sure that this is a complete work. Gilbertti mentions that Jericho has echoed some of the things he tweeted in private conversations with former WWE Superstar, Cyrus, and Jericho legitimately feels that you need to make it in WWE before you can be considered one of the greatest of all time.

Gilbertti doesn’t disagree with Jericho on this because getting a pop from the audience at Madison Square Garden is how you know if you’re over or not. Russo says that guys like Omega and The Young Bucks are marks for themselves and Meltzer, and all they care about it 5-star ratings. If they put priority on drawing fans and money then maybe they’d be half as good as they think they are.

That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
