Russo says that he has heard lots of stories about Dixie Carter sleeping with TNA talents over the years but he never considered any of that to be true. However, there was one time when a male talent approached Russo and told him that Dixie tried to kiss him. Russo mentions that there’s a double standard in this case because this guy will probably never go public with that story due to the fear of being considered a wimp. If a male boss tried to kiss a female talent, it’d be a completely different situation.
Meltzer criticized WWE’s booking of Finn Balor this past week, calling it inexplicable. Russo assumes that Meltzer thinks WWE is burying Balor by booking him to lose matches, and he points out that Elias and Jason Jordan were both booked to lose against Roman Reigns over the last two weeks. Despite being booked to lose, both those guys were able to get themselves over in the process, and Russo has never seen Finn Balor lose a match and get himself over in the process.
Also this past week, Meltzer said it’s evident that WWE doesn’t see Sami Zayn as a top guy in spite of his terrific work as a heel over the last several weeks. Russo doesn’t understand this logic and points out that Zayn has opened and closed Smackdown several weeks in a row. The fans still aren’t reacting as well as WWE probably hoped because Zayn simply isn’t a main event talent.
