Baron Corbin is a champion again, and Triple H wasted no time acknowledging the moment after SummerSlam.

Corbin completed his WWE comeback by defeating Trick Williams to capture the United States Championship on Night Two of SummerSlam. Minutes after the match ended, Triple H took to social media to congratulate the new champion and celebrate the victory.

Alongside a backstage photo with Corbin holding the United States Championship, Triple H made it clear that the End of Days had ushered in a new titleholder.

“The End of Days ushers in a NEW US Champion.”

Corbin’s championship victory capped off an impressive return after being away from WWE since 2024. He immediately targeted Trick Williams upon returning and made it clear he was coming for the United States Championship.

That rivalry reached its breaking point at SummerSlam. Lil Yachty accompanied Williams to the ring and even got involved during the match with a kendo stick, but the interference wasn’t enough to stop Corbin.

The fight eventually spilled into chaos, with Yachty crashing through a table before Williams was blasted with the United States Championship. Corbin then delivered the End of Days to score the pinfall and begin another title reign.

Triple H’s immediate reaction made it clear that WWE viewed the victory as a major moment for Corbin’s second run with the company. After years away, the former King of the Ring is back on top with championship gold around his waist.

Do you think Baron Corbin was the right choice to dethrone Trick Williams, or should WWE have gone in a different direction? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
