Night two of WWE SummerSlam 2026 featured a United States Championship showdown between Trick Williams and the returning Baron Corbin. Fans wanted to see what the Lone Wolf would do in his second run, but he had a man in Lemon Pepper Steppers in his way.
After being away from WWE since 2024, Baron Corbin made his presence felt right away by targeting Williams and making it clear he wanted the championship. This was the first thing that he did after his comeback.
Baron Corbin’s return attack on Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes immediately put him on a collision course with the United States Champion. A few weeks later, Corbin struck again after SmackDown went off the air. That brought Williams to challenge him for a title match at SummerSlam.
Lil Yachty hyped Trick Williams as he made his entrance. Baron Corbin didn’t let that affect him at all, as the man who retired Kurt Angle kept the pressure on Williams from the opening bell. Yachty was able to help out with a kendo stick later on, which got Trick Williams back into things.
Baron Corbin took some abuse from Trick Williams after that as he nailed a Book End for a near fall. Booker T would have been proud of that move. Eventually, Yachty went through a table, and Trick Williams took a title shot to the face. Then Baron Corbin nailed the End of Days and won the match and the US Title.
