Trey Miguel’s new Spider-Man-inspired look has already earned plenty of attention after TNA Lockdown, but one fan thinks he may have taken the inspiration a little too far. After claiming Marvel should go after Miguel for “gimmick infringement,” the TNA star had a pretty simple response: cry about it.
Miguel recently debuted the new Spider-Man-inspired look at TNA Lockdown, and while plenty of fans have been into it, not everyone is sold. One fan took to Twitter and accused Miguel of gimmick infringement before throwing in a shot at TNA’s audience for good measure.
“I’d say Marvel should go after @TheTreyMiguel for gimmick infringement, but it’s not like enough people watch TNA to notice.”
Miguel didn’t bother defending the look or explaining where the inspiration came from: “Cry about it” That could have ended things, but the fan came back with another shot at TNA: “Hey at least those 55 people saw you catch a win” Miguel was ready for that one too.
“And here you are being the biggest mark yourself.”
So if Miguel is worried about anyone accusing him of gimmick infringement, he certainly isn’t showing it. The fan tried using his new Spider-Man-inspired look to take shots at both him and TNA, and Miguel basically told him to keep crying while continuing to watch.
