Thekla is back—and she wasted no time coming after the woman who took her championship. The former AEW Women’s World Champion appeared during the Buy-In for AEW All In 2026, making her return shortly after Britt Baker resurfaced at Wembley Stadium.
Thekla climbed on top of the announce desk following Baker’s return and made it clear she wasn’t there to start a fight just yet. Instead, she planned to sit back, enjoy the show and watch AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale closely.
“I’m going to sit back, have a spicy margarita and chill.”
The mood quickly changed when Thekla turned her attention directly toward Willow. She put the champion on notice, signaling that she hasn’t forgotten about the title she lost at Redemption on July 26. Thekla had been missing from AEW television since that defeat. Skye Blue attempted to help her retain the championship, but Willow survived the interference and caught Thekla with a roll-up to capture the title.
Fightful Select previously confirmed that Thekla had traveled to London, although her role at the event was unknown at the time.
“We may not need to stay tuned for long. We’re told that Thekla is in London ahead of AEW All In London. We’ve not heard an update on what she’ll be doing yet.”
Tony Khan also teased during the AEW All In media call that Thekla would return to television “very soon.” That promise was fulfilled during the Buy-In, and Thekla now appears determined to get another shot at Willow’s championship.
Thekla may have claimed she was ready to relax with a spicy margarita, but her warning to Willow Nightingale made her real intentions obvious. With the former champion back on television, Willow could soon find herself dealing with an old enemy all over again.
