Brock Lesnar walked out of SummerSlam bruised, battered and on the losing end of one of the most physical Hell in a Cell matches in recent memory. But once the dust settled, congratulations started pouring in from an unexpected place—Hollywood.
The cast of Super Troopers 3 linked up with Lesnar after the show and made sure to celebrate the Beast Incarnate following his unforgettable war with Oba Femi. Kevin Heffernan shared a photo alongside Lesnar on Instagram, with the Super Troopers 3 cast praising both men for delivering one of the biggest matches of the weekend.
“Congrats to Brock Lesnar on one of the most intense Hell in the Cell fights in history. And shoutout to @oba_of_wwe on the W. What an incredible night for @wwe.”
The post came after Lesnar headlined Night One of SummerSlam alongside Oba Femi instead of the Undisputed WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. The main event more than justified its spot on the card.
Lesnar and Femi tore the ring apart inside Hell in a Cell, with the Beast ripping up the canvas to expose the wooden boards underneath before driving Femi into the exposed surface with a Tombstone Piledriver. Somehow, Femi survived, battled back and pinned Lesnar clean before receiving an emotional endorsement as the former WWE Champion called him “the future of WWE.”
A backstage report later added another interesting bit to the story, with PWInsider reporting that Lesnar himself pushed to close Night One in his hometown market of Minneapolis rather than wrestle earlier in the evening.
The match may not have ended with Lesnar getting his hand raised. But judging by the reaction afterwards—from WWE, the locker room and even the Super Troopers 3 cast—it was still one of the defining moments of SummerSlam weekend.
