Sting may be retired from wrestling, but he’s clearly still having fun alongside Darby Allin — even if this time it involves pranking him on national television.
On May 18, 2026, Sting took to Instagram and uploaded a video revealing that he and Anthony Davis would be pranking Darby Allin and NFL linebacker Daiyan Henley as part of Davis’ TBS series Foul Play. In the post, Sting specifically referenced Darby as his “old tag partner” while hyping up the episode.
“TONIGHT on #FoulPlayTBS, @antdavis23 and I prank my old tag partner, AEW World Champion @DarbyAllin! 👊🏼🦂🛹”
This comes shortly after Sting discussed his current role within All Elite Wrestling during an interview with Hunter, Jessica, and Cush. While explaining that he no longer works in a full-time backstage role, Sting revealed he still actively mentors talent whenever he’s around AEW programming.
“When I’m there, when I’m with the guys, yes, of course I will give feedback on a match that I saw or a gimmick or a certain move or whatever psychology somebody’s trying to use.”
He also made it clear he remains in contact with several wrestlers even when he isn’t physically backstage: “Some of the guys I’m in contact with, and I’ll talk with them on the phone.”
That relationship has been especially noticeable with Darby Allin, who remains closely associated with Sting even after Sting’s retirement from in-ring competition. Now, instead of standing beside Darby in AEW matches, Sting is apparently helping set him up for a prank on television.
At this point, details about the prank itself have not been revealed publicly. But the crossover involving Sting, Anthony Davis, Darby Allin, and Daiyan Henley definitely adds another unexpected chapter to Sting’s post-retirement run.
