Stephanie Vaquer had plenty to celebrate after winning the WWE Women’s World Championship in Santiago, Chile, but she wasn’t leaving the ring without telling the crowd exactly what the moment meant to her.
Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan at WWE’s live event on September 12, 2026, capturing the Women’s World Title for the second time in her career. Becky Lynch served as the special guest referee and played a major role in the finish, refusing to complete Morgan’s pinfall before Vaquer took over and put the champion away.
Once the match was over, Ringside News obtained footage of Vaquer standing in the ring with the championship and addressing the Chilean crowd. Vaquer looked back at where she was 18 years earlier, when becoming a WWE Superstar was still nothing more than a dream. Now she was standing in a WWE ring in Chile with one of the company’s biggest championships.
“18 years ago I was up there dreaming of becoming a WWE Superstar. Dreams are not impossible. This seemed impossible, but we’re going to keep making history because Chile f*cking changed!”
It was a raw celebration from Vaquer after completing one hell of a turnaround. Morgan had defeated her just days earlier on the September 7 episode of WWE RAW, but Vaquer got another shot in Santiago and made sure this one ended differently.
The victory ended Morgan’s 148-day title reign and officially kicked off Vaquer’s second run as WWE Women’s World Champion. Triple H also reacted to the title change after the show, posting footage of the finish and calling it, “What. A. Moment.”
For Vaquer, this wasn’t just another championship win. She got to walk into a WWE ring in Chile, win the Women’s World Title and then tell the crowd that the dream she had 18 years ago had finally become reality. That’s a homecoming she won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
