Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo just gave fans the update they’ve been waiting for after his scary injury at an NXT live event, and he certainly looks to be in much better spirits. The WWE star shared photos from both the hospital and the gym, showing just how quickly things have changed since he was stretchered out of the arena.

Stacks took to his Instagram Story with a photo from the hospital, where he could be seen wearing a neck brace while flipping off the doctor. Even after everything that happened, his sense of humor clearly wasn’t going anywhere.

“Doc was concerned about my ‘attitude’.. Told ’em it’s a preexisting condition. The show goes on.”

Stacks followed that up with an even more encouraging photo. The next slide showed him back in the gym, suggesting he’s already feeling well enough to get back to training after the frightening incident.

“Right back to the grind”

That’s a pretty welcome sight considering how bad things looked just over a week ago. Stacks was injured during the October 16 NXT live event in Sudbury, Ontario, after taking a back body drop over the top rope and crashing onto the floor during an eight-man tag team match.

The situation was serious enough that WWE stopped the match while medical personnel checked on him. Stacks was eventually placed on a stretcher and taken out of the arena before being transported to a nearby hospital.

There were concerns afterwards that Stacks may have suffered a concussion, although WWE never publicly confirmed the exact nature of his injury. Uriah Connors offered the first encouraging update the following day, telling fans that his BirthRight teammate was doing okay.

“My boys alive and well!! We can’t be stopped, last of a dying breed! Thanks for checkin on em, I got his ass.”

Now fans have finally heard directly from Stacks himself, and seeing him already back in the gym is certainly a much better image than the stretcher scene from Sudbury. He still hasn’t revealed exactly what he injured or when he’ll be cleared to wrestle again, so his in-ring return remains up in the air for now.
