Bayley’s WWE television absence looks like it could finally be coming to an end. After weeks of questions about her contract status and reports that WWE had started working on creative ideas for her, there’s now a major development ahead of tonight’s Monday Night RAW.

According to PWInsider, Bayley is expected to make her WWE return on tonight’s episode of RAW in Birmingham. The report follows word from last week that creative pitches were already being discussed for her on the red brand.

Bayley has been away from WWE television since losing to Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18. Valkyria attacked her after the match, giving WWE a storyline reason to remove Bayley from television.

She did step back into the ring once during that absence, wrestling at a July 26 live event in Bakersfield, California. However, Bayley hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since the angle with Valkyria.

Her absence also came at a time when there were plenty of questions surrounding her future with the company. On September 3, we reported that the belief among people within WWE was that Bayley had already signed a new deal.

That report also claimed Bayley could eventually become involved with WWE beyond simply appearing as an on-screen performer. Exactly what that additional role could involve wasn’t revealed, and neither WWE nor Bayley has publicly confirmed a new contract.

There had already been signs that WWE wasn’t preparing to move on from Bayley. Her name continued coming up on RAW while she was gone, something Dave Meltzer previously viewed as an indication that the company expected her back.

“As far as Bayley goes, the frequent mentions of her on Raw this week would indicate to me that they expect her back. If they believed she might be leaving, they would not mention her name.”

Now all of those signs appear to be leading somewhere. WWE was already working on creative ideas for Bayley last week, and if everything goes according to plan, fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out exactly what the company has in store for her.

What do you think WWE should have Bayley do when she returns to RAW? Let us know in the comments.
