Bayley still hasn’t returned to WWE television, but the way WWE handled RAW this week may have given away where things are headed.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Bayley’s name was brought up several times during RAW and believes that is a strong sign WWE expects her back.

“As far as Bayley goes, the frequent mentions of her on Raw this week would indicate to me that they expect her back. If they believed she might be leaving, they would not mention her name.”

That’s a notable change in the conversation surrounding Bayley, whose WWE future has been unclear while she remains away from television. Meltzer previously said Bayley had not signed a new WWE contract and that the decision about her future was in her hands.

“The only thing I’ve heard from them when it comes to Bayley is that Bayley has a decision to make. So that’s the story, Bayley has a decision to make. She has not signed a contract. When she signs a contract I’m sure she’ll be back on TV.”

Bayley hasn’t appeared on WWE television since losing to Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Valkyria followed that up by saying she had “run Bayley out of here,” giving WWE an easy storyline explanation for her absence. Meltzer previously suggested that if Bayley returns, WWE already has a simple way to restart the feud.

“I think the situation with her is if she signs a contract she’ll probably come back and attack Lyra, and that’ll probably be her storyline. If she doesn’t sign, then she doesn’t come back and the Madison Square Garden thing was a write-off.”

Bayley has also fueled plenty of speculation herself, including training with AJ Lee and Mercedes Moné and posting “all or nothing, baby” alongside a song called “All In.”

Nothing has been officially announced regarding a new contract or return date, but WWE continuing to mention Bayley on television certainly makes her situation look a lot different than it would if the company was preparing to move on without her.

Do you think Bayley is staying with WWE, and should she return by going straight after Lyra Valkyria? Let us know what you think in the comments.
