WWE is set to bring another NXT name to the main roster during the August 7 episode of SmackDown.
Fightful Select reports that Tatum Paxley is scheduled to be involved during Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill, which is currently positioned as the main event of tonight’s show. The appearance will mark Paxley’s WWE main roster debut. Exactly how Paxley will factor into the match was not disclosed, but her involvement adds another wrinkle to a match WWE is already giving a major spot on the card.
Flair vs. Cargill had already been announced for SmackDown, and the early rundown has the match closing the show. WWE can still change the running order before or during the live broadcast.
CM Punk is currently expected to open SmackDown with Cody Rhodes, while Baron Corbin vs. Trick Williams for the United States Championship, Kevin Owens, and Chelsea Green.
Paxley’s involvement now gives fans another reason to keep an eye on the main event, especially with this set to be her first appearance on WWE’s main roster.
