The Creed Brothers are officially done with WWE, and what initially looked like a strange website situation has now turned into a confirmed departure. Julius and Brutus Creed are no longer with the company after their contracts expired, bringing their WWE run to an end.
The situation first raised questions when both brothers were spotted in the Alumni section of WWE’s website, despite wrestling on WWE television just a few weeks earlier. At the time, there was no confirmation that either brother had been released or had decided to leave.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has now confirmed that the brothers have departed WWE. According to Sapp, the split appears to have been mutual, with their contracts reaching their expiration.
“The Creeds have left WWE, Fightful Select has confirmed. It appears to be a mutual parting of ways as their deal has expired.”
The news comes as a surprise considering how recently Julius and Brutus were still being used on WWE programming. After spending part of the summer working Main Event, the brothers returned to NXT and defeated Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno on September 8.
They then entered the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, defeating Harley Riggins and Jax Presley in the first round on September 22. Their tournament run came to an end on October 20 when Hank Walker and Tank Ledger defeated them in the quarterfinals. That means the Creed Brothers were still competing on NXT less than three weeks before their departure was confirmed.
The brothers had been with WWE for several years, with Julius joining in 2020 and Brutus arriving in 2021. They became part of Diamond Mine alongside Ivy Nile and quickly established themselves as one of NXT’s top tag teams. Their biggest early success came in 2022 when they won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic before defeating Pretty Deadly at NXT In Your House to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Julius and Brutus eventually moved to WWE’s main roster alongside Nile in 2023. They later aligned with Chad Gable as part of American Made and remained part of the RAW roster before returning to NXT in 2026.
Their final stretch also included involvement in the El Grande Americano storyline, where they appeared under masks as Bruto Creedo and Julio Creedo. They also competed in AAA before making their latest NXT appearances.
For now, there’s no word on what Julius and Brutus plan to do next or whether they’ve already attracted interest from other wrestling promotions. What is clear is that their WWE departure appears to have been an agreed-upon split rather than a sudden release.
The Creed Brothers spent years building their reputation as one of WWE’s most athletic tag teams, and their departure leaves both men with an opportunity to explore what comes next outside the company.
