Zelina Vega apparently took her job managing Andrade very seriously — both on WWE television and when the cameras weren’t rolling. That included occasionally having to deal with women who were getting a little too distracting backstage.

Speaking with Dakota Kai on her YouTube channel, Vega looked back on working with Andrade in WWE and admitted his looks attracted plenty of attention whenever they arrived in a new city. She even had her own nickname for the women who approached him — “sucias.”

“He was, you know, he’s a very attractive person, and so there’s a lot of sucias. I would call them dirty. It’s like dirty. It means dirty, but the direct translation is dirty. But if you call somebody that, it’s like you’re saying that they’re dirty. Like, they’re dirty.

So, for me, instead of saying, like, I would say the sucias. So whenever we would get to a new place, like a new city, I would say, ‘No more sucias, please. Like, can we not do this today?’ And so he’d be like, ‘No, no, it’s okay. It’s okay.’ And I’m like, ‘Uh-huh. Uh-huh.’

And then when we would get to the venue or something, especially if the extras were trying to go to him, oh my God, I was such a little cockblocker. I did not care.”

Vega wasn’t just watching from a distance either. If Andrade was busy talking to somebody when WWE needed him for a pre-tape, she had absolutely no problem stepping in and breaking things up herself.

“No, like, so say you’re him, and there was a sucia here, and I was behind him trying to get his attention, ’cause I would get mad whenever I’d see him talking to them.

I’m like, ‘Okay, like, we need to go and do a pre-tape.’ So say we had to do a pre-tape and people are looking for him, and I’m f****** pissed now. So I’d be like, ‘Um, okay. Hi. Sorry.’ And I would kind of move her out of the way, and I would just be like, ‘Hey, um, no, no sucias, please. We have to get this done, okay?’

And I would be looking at her, and I’d be like, ‘Anyway,’ and I would just keep talking. Like, I was a total b****. I did not care. I mean, it’s also like, we got a job to do. In terms of, like, I’m like, ‘Come on, let’s do this pre-tape,’ ’cause you know how long those things take. And then, like, NXT too, at that time, it’s like, when you want to get it done, ’cause everyone’s waiting to do their pre-tapes.”

Andrade apparently knew exactly what Vega was doing, and sometimes even tried getting her to knock it off. She wasn’t particularly interested in listening.

“Exactly. And I would get very mad. And I would be like, ‘Ah, another sucia. Thank you. Okay.’ And he’d be like, ‘Don’t call them sucias. Like, they understand you. They know.’ I say, ‘I’m glad they understand me.’”

As chaotic as that sounds, Vega said Andrade never really took offense because he understood where she was coming from. Their relationship had become more like brother and sister, and apparently he found her backstage policing pretty funny.

“I also think too, like, when it came to any of those situations, like, he knew and he thought it was funny. Like, he didn’t care.”

So Vega basically ended up doing her television job even after the segment was over. If Andrade had somewhere he needed to be and a “sucia” was standing between him and that pre-tape, his manager was apparently coming to collect him whether he liked it or not.
