AAA on FOX introduced a major broadcast change during the May 23 episode after Rey Mysterio officially stepped away from commentary to become the new General Manager of the brand.
At the start of the show, AAA announced Mysterio’s new executive role before the WWE Hall of Famer came out to address the crowd and speak about taking over as General Manager. With Mysterio no longer sitting at the commentary desk for the episode, Savio Vega joined Corey Graves and JBL on the broadcast team instead.
The appearance marks another step in Vega’s growing involvement with WWE’s presentation of AAA. Back in June 2025, Vega revealed that he had already been working behind the scenes as a producer for WWE’s AAA partnership.
Now fans are seeing him move into an on-screen broadcast role as well. Rey Mysterio had regularly been part of the AAA on FOX commentary team alongside Graves and JBL before the storyline shift into the General Manager position.
The move gives AAA a very different dynamic moving forward, with Mysterio now positioned as an authority figure while Savio Vega helps guide the broadcast booth.
AAA on FOX continues airing as part of WWE’s growing partnership and presentation of the legendary lucha libre promotion.
