Rush has been telling fans he’s getting close to returning to AEW, but one fan still thinks injuries keep getting in his way. El Toro Blanco wasn’t about to let that narrative slide, responding with a detailed message explaining why he believes people have the wrong idea about his health.

The exchange started after a fan took to Twitter and commented that it felt like Rush gets momentum in AEW, only to end up injured again.

“I think Rush is injured again, right? It seems like he is fairly over with the fans, but it seems like every time they do try and do something with him in AEW, he gets hurt.”

Rush took to Twitter and quickly jumped in to correct what he called a false narrative. He explained that he’s always done everything possible to stay available for AEW, even recalling one match where he refused to stop despite suffering a painful injury.

“During my time with AEW I have only been injured ONCE, and one time during Continental Classic I tweaked my knee and medical team advised I recover. I do my best to be part of every event, but any news you hear about injury prone is false. I even popped my elbow back in during a match to continue to perform.”

Rush also gave fans a look at everything he does behind the scenes while waiting for another opportunity. According to him, he isn’t just sitting around waiting for the phone to ring—he’s constantly working to be ready whenever AEW calls.

“I train in Mexico at the gym and in ring, I study English daily, and study tapes, I do everything possible to be at my best and READY for any opportunity. Do not believe false narratives, EL TORO BLANCO is healthy and ready always, Monday to Monday. And REMEMBER…if you mess with the bull……”

Rush’s response comes just a couple of weeks after he told fans on his YouTube livestream that he expected to be back in AEW within a few weeks. At the time, he admitted he didn’t know his exact return date but said his absence wouldn’t last much longer.

“The last time was about two months ago, when I was there for the World Championship. Right now, I don’t know exactly when we’ll be back. It won’t be long. In just a few weeks, we’re going to be back.”

For now, Rush is making one thing crystal clear—he doesn’t want fans blaming injuries for his time away from AEW. As far as he’s concerned, he’s healthy, training every day and ready whenever the opportunity comes.

Rush has made it clear he doesn’t believe the “injury-prone” label fits him. Do you think he’ll be back on AEW TV sooner rather than later? Let us know in the comments below.
