Rusev has been missing from WWE television since his loss to Je’Von Evans, but it doesn’t sound like that absence is going to last much longer. After weeks without the Bulgarian Brute on RAW, there’s finally an update on when fans can expect to see him again.
During the August 25 post-RAW show, Sean Ross Sapp provided an update on the Bulgarian Brute’s status and revealed that his return is only a couple of weeks away. So, fans won’t have to wait much longer before he’s back.
“Rusev will be back soon, by the way, in a couple weeks.”
That gives fans a much clearer idea of what’s going on after Rusev suddenly disappeared from television following the July 27 edition of RAW. His last match saw him take on Je’Von Evans, who caught Rusev with a Stunner before hitting the OG Cutter and scoring the three-count. What happened immediately afterward ended up getting almost as much attention as the match itself.
Rusev popped right back up. Instead of staying down and selling the finish, he immediately rolled out of the ring and power-walked straight toward the backstage area. Ringside footage of the moment quickly spread online, with fans noticing just how quickly Rusev wanted out of there after taking the loss.
So, Rusev’s last night on RAW ended with him getting pinned, immediately getting back to his feet and disappearing through the curtain. Now he’s been gone for nearly a month, but it sounds like WWE won’t be keeping him behind that curtain for much longer.
