Rusev is getting deeper into the wrestling business outside the ring after launching his new wrestling school in Nashville, Tennessee.
KECH Pro Wrestling Academy opened on May 13 and features Rusev himself as one of the lead trainers alongside former WWE star Gangrel. The school will also include coaching from Jake Painter, who has previously appeared in TNA, and J-Rod from OVW, CCW, and American Gladiators.
Rusev previously explained that the academy is designed to be different from many traditional wrestling schools by using a membership-style setup instead of demanding huge upfront payments from trainees. The goal is to train wrestlers in all areas of the business, including in-ring work, promos, and character development.
With Gangrel now involved as one of the main trainers, the school already has a pretty notable mix of wrestling experience behind it. At this point, Rusev seems fully invested in helping build the next generation of wrestlers while still remaining active himself.
Do you think Rusev could become one of wrestling’s top trainers down the line? Leave your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
