Rusev is already making his RAW match personal, and he went straight for Chad Gable’s Olympic past before taking a nasty shot at Rey Mysterio.

Ahead of his match against Gable on the June 15, 2026 episode of Monday Night RAW, Rusev posted a video on Twitter where he called Gable a failure and said he let America down on the Olympic stage.

“Chad is a failure. I don’t care about that at all. Because he failed at the Olympics representing America.”

Rusev then mocked Gable’s WWE career, bringing up his masked run and saying he was so embarrassed that he tried to hide behind a new identity.

“Then he got so embarrassed by his WWE career that he put a mask on. He pretended to be a Mexican, and they didn’t accept him either because they know he’s full of crap.”

Then Rusev turned his attention to Rey Mysterio, who was involved in last week’s attack angle with Gable, Dragon Lee, Ethan Page, and Rusev. Rusev made it clear he does not respect Rey, his face, or his mask.

“Speaking of Rey Mysterio, I don’t care about you. I don’t care about your face. I don’t care about your mask. I’m gonna wipe my ass with both of these things because you don’t know what is it to be a hero.”

Rusev then called himself a hero to his people and took a shot at Rey as a father, saying Mysterio could not even inspire his own kid to be a good person. He ended by warning Rey to stay out of his way on RAW.

“I am a hero of my people, in my nation. And you can’t even inspire your own kid to be a good person, let alone a whole nation. So stay out of my way tonight. Rusev. Bangarang.”

Rusev is set to face Gable after Gable saved Rey Mysterio last week and returned his mask. Now Rusev has turned the match into something bigger by calling Gable an Olympic failure and going after Rey Mysterio’s ability to lead his own family.

RAW already has Roman Reigns returning and King and Queen of the Ring semi-final action, but Rusev just gave his match with Gable a much sharper edge.
