Roman Reigns survived a war with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2026, blasting his former Shield brother with three Spears before finally getting the pin and walking out with the World Heavyweight Championship.
The two closed Night Two with a match built on years of bad blood, and neither man held back. They fought through the crowd, smashed each other through both announce tables and spent the rest of the night stealing each other’s biggest moves.
Rollins nearly stole the title after landing a Pedigree and a Stomp, but Reigns kept kicking out. Roman answered with a Superman Punch, a Spear and even Rollins’ own Stomp, but none of it was enough to end the fight.
Things got even messier after the referee went down. Reigns hit a DDT in a nod to their former Shield brother Jon Moxley, then accidentally wiped out the official with a Spear. Rollins followed with another Stomp, but there was nobody there to count.
Rollins grabbed a chair, but Reigns stopped him before he could use it. The two dropped the weapons and started trading punches in the middle of the ring before Rollins connected with another Pedigree and Stomp.
That still wasn’t enough. Rollins went for a Super Stomp, but Reigns moved and drilled him with two Spears. With the referee still down, Roman hit a third Spear once another official arrived and finally scored the three-count.
Reigns left SummerSlam still holding the World Heavyweight Championship after one of the toughest defenses of his reign. Rollins threw everything he had at him, but the OTC needed only one final opening to put him away.
