Influential people in the pro wrestling world can sometimes jump from one company to another, and Road Dogg has found himself in that kind of spot. Although he was a mainstay in WWE for years, Road Dogg may be coming back to TNA.
In March 2026, WWE Hall of Famer Brian “Road Dogg” James stepped down as SmackDown’s co-lead writer, officially ending his run in the company’s backstage creative team. This was a surprise for a lot of fans, but he is not done in pro wrestling by a long shot.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that talks are currently ongoing with Road Dogg to contribute creatively to TNA Wrestling. It was also noted that “nothing is nailed down as of yet.”
TNA has been talking to a few different people and entities about linking up. It was also reported that they have been in talks with OVW about an affiliation.
Road Dogg was a part of TNA Wrestling for years as a part of the VKM tag team. He did a lot in the company before moving back to WWE where he took a backstage role. Now that he is no longer with WWE, only time will tell what other marks Road Dogg is able to make in the business.
