Road Dogg is not acting like life after WWE has him sitting around wondering what comes next. The WWE Hall of Famer recently linked back up with Billy Gunn for a New Age Outlaws appearance, and when asked what he has been doing since leaving WWE, he leaned right into the joke.
The New Age Outlaws appeared on Going Ringside where the host brought up Road Dogg’s WWE exit and asked what he is doing now. Road Dogg said he is staying busy with appearances alongside Billy Gunn, but he had a very Road Dogg way of saying it.
“Just doing these, hanging on Billy’s coattails. Hopefully going to lose some weight by osmosis.”
Road Dogg did not stop there. After joking that he is riding Billy Gunn’s popularity and hoping some of Gunn’s fitness rubs off on him, he got more serious about what these appearances mean to them now. The two have been tied together for decades, and that bond is still there.
“And no, we’re just having fun. We’ve been doing this a long time together and we love each other. We’ve grown up together literally. And so we have a lot of fun. Both our wives are here right now. It’s a family affair for us, and we just love doing it.”
That is a pretty clear sign Road Dogg is not sweating his next move too hard. He may be out of WWE right now, but he is still making the rounds, still getting laughs, and still sharing the road with one of the biggest partners of his career.
Road Dogg and Billy Gunn built a legacy together as the New Age Outlaws, and fans still react when they show up in the same place. WWE may no longer be part of Road Dogg’s weekly routine, but he sounds more than happy keeping the act alive on his own terms.
