Ric Flair just put a massive price tag on one of his missing robes. The Nature Boy says Steve Solomon offered him $200,000 for the famous gold robe—and Flair is threatening to personally come after whoever has it.
Flair took to Instagram one day after accusing people of selling his robes without proof they actually own them. This time, he posted a photo of himself wearing the gold robe and made it clear that he wants it back immediately. Flair didn’t stop with the six-figure offer. He warned the person holding the robe that he is willing to make the trip himself—and bring his lawyer along for the ride.
“If you think I am bullsh*tting about my robes, Steve Solomon, who has more money than God, just offered me $200K for this gold robe. Whoever has it better send it to me ASAP.”
“I will stop at nothing to get it back. Whoever has it, I will personally make the trip to come get it with my lawyer. And FYI—memorabilia theft is a felony.”
The Instagram post came after Flair accused people of trying to sell his robes without receipts or documentation showing how they acquired them. He also accused Tiffany VanDemark of stealing five robes, though Flair’s allegation has not been independently established.Flair initially warned that his attorney would demand proof of ownership from anyone attempting to sell the memorabilia. Anyone unable to produce that documentation, he said, should expect a letter from his Boston attorney.
“Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that my robes are being sold by people who don’t own them or have a receipt from me. If they do, they are more than welcome to. If they don’t, just like Tiffany VanDemark, who stole five of them, as of tomorrow, my attorney will seek legal documentation, and if you don’t have it, you will be expecting a letter from my attorney in Boston.”
Flair later declared that his robes are now worth more than someone’s house, replacing his famous boast about his shoes. A $200,000 offer for the gold robe certainly gives that claim some serious weight.
“After reading your comments, I am very humored. So, I have a new saying: My robes are worth more than your house! Rather than my shoes, it’s now my robes. And FYI—it’s a felony, and that shouldn’t be taken lightly.”
Flair’s gold robe is no longer just another missing piece of wrestling history. With $200,000 sitting on the table, Flair says he wants it returned now—and he’s ready to show up with an attorney if that’s what it takes.
