Ric Flair apparently has no idea who his supposed next wife is. After a post claimed the 77-year-old wrestling legend wants to get married for a sixth time and start another family, Flair saw it himself—and immediately mocked the whole thing.
Flair took to Twitter on August 18 and shared an image of the post, which claimed: “Ric Flair says he wants to marry for the sixth time and start a new family.” The Nature Boy clearly wasn’t planning any of that.
Instead of simply denying the story, Flair joked that somebody might want to introduce him to the woman he’s supposedly preparing to marry because, as far as he knows, they haven’t met yet.
“Good To Know I’m Still The Breaking News Headline At 77 Years Old! Can Someone Please Introduce Me To The Next Mrs. Flair Because, To My Knowledge, We Haven’t Met Yet! Obviously, I’m Not Starting A New Family. To Be Such A Legend…WTF!”
The marriage claim comes at a particularly funny time considering Flair just had to clear up another round of speculation about his personal life.
After celebrating Wendy Barlow being back in his life, Flair later clarified that the two aren’t rekindling their romantic relationship. He said they’re renewing their 34-year friendship, live in separate residences and remain close after everything they’ve been through together.
Flair has been married multiple times over the years, including to Leslie Goodman from 1971 until 1983 and Elizabeth “Beth” Harrell from 1983 until 2006. Whatever comes next, though, another wedding and a brand-new family apparently aren’t part of his plans.
At 77, Flair seems more amused than anything that people are already writing the next chapter of his love life for him. If there really is another Mrs. Flair somewhere out there, apparently somebody forgot to tell Ric.
