Blake Monroe might finally be ready to make her official WWE SmackDown debut.
According to PWInsider Elite, Monroe is backstage ahead of tonight’s SmackDown from Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. There is still no confirmation she will appear on the broadcast, but her presence immediately got fans talking because she is one of the last major post-WrestleMania call-ups still waiting to officially hit the main roster.
WWE has already been teasing Monroe’s arrival for weeks with flashy vignette packages airing on television and social media. The videos have shown Monroe in glamorous settings while building anticipation for her eventual debut.
The former NXT Women’s North American Champion also worked a dark match against Jordynne Grace before last week’s SmackDown, which only added more speculation that WWE was preparing to officially introduce her to the blue brand soon.
Monroe’s NXT run came to an end after she lost a casket match to Tatum Paxley on the April 21 episode of the show. Since then, fans have been waiting to see when WWE would finally pull the trigger on her move to SmackDown.
Several other post-WrestleMania call-ups have already landed on RAW and SmackDown, but Monroe has remained one of the biggest names still sitting on the sidelines while her debut videos continued airing. Now with Monroe backstage tonight, the timing feels hard to ignore.
WWE clearly sees major star potential in Blake Monroe, and after weeks of teasing her arrival, SmackDown could finally be the night she officially steps onto the main roster stage.
