PAC has died at 40. AEW announced Sunday night that Benjamin Satterley, the British wrestler who conquered WWE and AEW after making his name on the independent scene, has passed away.
The news ends a career that began in 2004 and took Satterley from Newcastle upon Tyne to wrestling promotions across the globe. He became known for explosive aerial offense, championship runs and a ring style that let him stand out whether he was wrestling as PAC or WWE’s Adrian Neville.
AEW shared the announcement on its official X account and remembered Satterley as a performer who captivated fans around the world. The company also sent condolences to his family, friends and fans.
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”

Satterley got his start in British wrestling in 2004, building experience on the independent circuit before taking his act overseas. He wrestled in Japan for Dragon Gate and in the United States for promotions including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Chikara, making his name with speed, aerial attacks and a willingness to take risks that few could match.
Those years helped turn PAC into an international name before WWE came calling. He signed with the company in 2012 and was introduced to NXT audiences as Adrian Neville, with “The Man That Gravity Forgot” becoming a fitting label for a wrestler whose offense often seemed to defy it.
Neville made history early in his NXT run by winning the promotion’s first NXT Tag Team Championship with Oliver Grey. He later reached the top of the singles division, defeating Bo Dallas to win the NXT Championship in 2014 and holding the title until Sami Zayn beat him at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution.
That championship run put Neville at the center of NXT during a period when the brand was building a reputation for producing stars who could deliver in front of passionate crowds. His matches with Zayn became a major part of that stretch, with Neville’s athleticism and Zayn’s underdog story giving fans a rivalry they could sink their teeth into.
Neville made his WWE main roster debut in 2015 and eventually moved into the company’s revived cruiserweight division. He won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in 2017 and became one of the division’s defining names, bringing a more aggressive edge to the character while keeping the high-flying offense that had made him famous.
After his WWE run, Satterley returned to the PAC name and signed with AEW in 2019. His arrival gave the new promotion an established international star, and he quickly became part of major matches and storylines as AEW grew its roster.
PAC captured the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship in 2022, a title later renamed the International Championship. He also won the AEW World Trios Championship with Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fénix as Death Triangle, a group that became one of AEW’s most recognizable teams.
Death Triangle’s title run included a high-profile best-of-seven series against The Elite, with the two teams trading wins before The Elite ultimately took the Trios titles. PAC also had marquee singles matches, including a widely praised clash with Kenny Omega at AEW All Out in 2019, helping establish the kind of hard-hitting, high-speed matches fans came to expect from him.
Across WWE and AEW, Satterley showed he could adapt without losing the qualities that made him unique. The Neville persona helped him become a champion in WWE, while PAC’s sharper, more intense character fit the rivalries and title fights that defined his AEW run.
AEW’s announcement has brought attention back to a career that stretched across more than two decades and multiple continents.
