Paul Walter Hauser is explaining exactly why he came at Roman Reigns, and it was not just because Roman showed up at the White House.
Reigns was part of UFC Freedom 250 on the White House lawn, with TKO putting “The OTC” front and center on social media. Roman reposted the moment with his usual one-finger emoji, and Hauser immediately jumped in by calling him an “actual dork” while taking shots at his part-time WWE schedule.
Now Hauser is making it clear what really set him off. Hauser posted another message on Twitter and said his problem was Roman using his massive platform to make the White House event look cool. Hauser said he probably would not have cared if a much smaller wrestling name attended the event, but Roman is not some random guy on the card.
“Why TF do you think I’m mad at Roman Reigns for attending that sewage on the WH lawn?!”
“If El Dandy or Mike Enos or the ghost of George Hackenschmidt attended, I likely wouldn’t care.”
Then he got to the point. Hauser said Roman has influence, children, and a giant fanbase, and still appeared to co-sign the whole thing.
“Roman has a platform & 3 children & he’s goin ‘Yeah, this is cool. I’m into it.’”
So Hauser’s issue was not just Roman being in the building. It was Roman being Roman Reigns, one of WWE’s biggest stars, and publicly attaching himself to an event Hauser clearly hated.
That adds more context to Hauser’s original shot, where he mocked Reigns for rarely wrestling and said guys like Darby Allin and Kenny Omega work every week without asking fans to “acknowledge” them.
Roman has not responded to Hauser’s latest explanation, but Hauser is not walking it back. He thinks Roman’s White House appearance mattered because of the size of his platform, and he made sure everyone knew that was the real reason he went after him.
