Omos is officially back in AAA. “The Nigerian Giant” defeated Rey Mysterio during AAA TripleMania 34 Night One, and the victory immediately lifted his suspension from the company. The stipulation was simple: an Omos win meant reinstatement, while a loss would have gotten him permanently banned from AAA.

Mysterio did everything he could to stop that from happening. Omos controlled much of the match with his size and power, but things eventually broke down after the referee was accidentally wiped out.

That opened the door for Mysterio to crack Omos in the head with a steel chair before hitting two 619s, West Coast Pop and a frog splash. Even that wasn’t enough to put Omos away. Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano also became involved at ringside before Rey eventually returned to the ring and walked straight into trouble.

Omos caught Mysterio and planted him with a chokeslam to get the three-count, officially securing his reinstatement in AAA. The result means AAA’s attempt to keep Omos out is officially over. He survived Rey Mysterio, avoided a permanent ban and now has the green light to return to the company moving forward. Omos didn’t just win a match at TripleMania — he won his way back into AAA.

What do you think AAA should do with Omos now that his suspension has been lifted? Let us know in the comments.
