NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason is making it clear he plans to lead the charge as NWA Powerrr prepares to debut on broadcast television, and he isn’t lacking confidence ahead of the show’s return to over-the-air TV.

With NWA Powerrr officially set to launch on Comet TV beginning May 1, Mason issued a strong statement about what the moment means to him personally and what he believes it means for the future of the National Wrestling Alliance. The new deal marks the first time NWA programming will air on broadcast television in more than three decades, and Mason made it clear he understands the weight of that responsibility as the company’s top champion.

While discussing the upcoming debut, Mason spoke about the pride he feels representing the brand during such a major transition.

“It’s an exciting time to be the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, the face of the National Wrestling Alliance and ‘The Biggest Man Who Ever Lived.’ On May 1, NWA POWERRR debuts on Sinclair Broadcasting’s Comet TV, marking the first time NWA programming has been on broadcast television in over 30 years. That’s huge!”

Mason didn’t stop there. He made it clear that carrying the NWA banner into this new era is something he fully embraces, even suggesting he would personally shoulder the burden if necessary to ensure the launch succeeds.

“As NWA Worlds Champion, I shoulder a lot of responsibility for making sure that’s a success. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I was born for this moment. If necessary, I’ll put the whole damn company on my back and carry it across the finish line — but I don’t have to do that.”

He also took the opportunity to praise the current NWA roster, saying the depth of talent will play a major role in winning over new viewers once the show officially lands on broadcast television.

“NWA has one of the most talented, exciting and special rosters anywhere in pro wrestling, and people will realize that real soon.”

Mason closed his statement with a direct message to fans who may not have been following NWA recently, promising that the upcoming debut will be a turning point for the promotion and his own rise as champion.

“If you’ve been sleeping on NWA and ‘The Thrillbilly’ Silas Mason, that ends May 1 when NWA Powerrr comes to Comet TV!”

The NWA Powerrr premiere is scheduled to kick off with a two-night launch beginning May 1 in primetime, marking a major step forward for the promotion after years of streaming-based distribution. With Mason now positioning himself as the face of the brand heading into this new era, the pressure will be on to deliver when the show officially hits broadcast television.
