Nikkita Lyons isn’t holding back when it comes to criticism about her transformation, and she has now gone after hypocritical fans who wanted the “old” her back.

After rebuilding herself physically and professionally following multiple knee injuries and a reset run in WWE EVOLVE, Lyons has been gaining momentum again inside the ring. But even with that progress, she’s continued to deal with online criticism, especially from those asking for her “old” look and persona.

On April 29, 2026, Lyons took to Twitter to directly call out what she described as hypocrisy from those fans, making it clear she hasn’t forgotten the criticism she received during that earlier phase of her career.

“i MiSs ThE oLd nIkKiTa LyOnS” 😂 like… y’all were complaining back then too 🙄 not that i need to explain, but that was post injury with a sh✨tty bf at the time nikkita lmao but we’re not even in that timeline anymore, WE’RE HEALED 🍃 KEEP UP #NikkitaMultiMedia #DivineFeline lioness pre-wwe mind you👇🦁 BEEN THE LYONESS BABE 🎶🔮🍃”

The tweet didn’t just address fan reactions; it also gave insight into what she was dealing with behind the scenes at the time, including recovery from injury and personal struggles such as a bad boyfriend. Now, Lyons is making it clear she’s moved past that phase and doesn’t feel the need to justify where she is today.

Her recent in-ring work reflects that shift as well, including a strong showing against debuting Lizzy Rain, where Lyons helped put over new talent while continuing to refine her own style. So her response shows that she is fully leaning into her current version, physically, mentally, and professionally, and she’s not looking back.

Do you think Nikkita Lyons’ reinvention has improved her overall presentation, or do you prefer her earlier run in WWE? Sound off in the comments.
