Triple H isn’t losing control of WWE creative anytime soon, and that message was delivered directly to staff behind closed doors.
During a company town hall on Monday, WWE President Nick Khan addressed employees and confirmed that Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque will continue leading WWE creative. The update comes after weeks of speculation about WWE’s internal power structure following comments from TKO President Mark Shapiro about corporate control.
According to sources who viewed the town hall and later spoke to POST Wrestling, Khan made it clear that Triple H is staying in charge of creative moving forward.
“WWE President Nick Khan told staff on Monday in a town hall that WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque will continue in his role as head of creative.”
It’s still not clear whether this confirmation means Triple H signed a new contract or if it was simply reassurance about his current position. WWE communications staff did not immediately clarify whether the statement reflected a formal extension or just support for his performance.
During the same meeting, Khan also addressed criticism of WWE’s product that has circulated online. He pushed back on the idea that fan reaction has been largely negative, describing critics as a smaller group rather than the majority of viewers.
One example he pointed to involved reactions to WrestleMania, specifically the belief among some fans that Night 1 didn’t land as strongly as Night 2. Khan referenced past criticism from years ago to show that complaints about WWE aren’t anything new.
Reports noted that Khan read older messages from around 2015 that were critical of WWE programming, using them to suggest that backlash has always existed — and hasn’t stopped the company from moving forward.
This latest update follows earlier comments from TKO President Mark Shapiro, who made it clear that TKO holds final authority over WWE operations. That sparked concern among fans that Triple H’s role might be shrinking, especially when it comes to creative direction.
However, additional reporting has stated that while TKO can step in when necessary — particularly around major events like WrestleMania — Triple H still handles the day-to-day creative direction seen on WWE television.
Now, with Nick Khan publicly backing Triple H during an internal meeting, the message appears clear: the current structure isn’t changing anytime soon, even as corporate leadership maintains final control behind the scenes.
