TNA Slammiversary 2026 came to the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, with the company’s biggest championship set to headline the night. Fans packed the arena to see whether Mike Santana could continue his reign as TNA World Champion or if Nic Nemeth would capitalize on the opportunity he had been calling for weeks.

Santana entered the event riding the momentum of his second TNA World Championship reign. He captured the title from Frankie Kazarian on the January 15, 2026 episode of TNA Impact and quickly established himself as the face of the company.

Nemeth picked a different path than most Call Your Shot winners. Instead of cashing in unexpectedly, he announced in advance that he wanted Santana at Slammiversary.

This match had a big fight feel, and it started with a bit of a cat-and-mouse game. The two eventually got down to business after Nic Nemeth’s running games came to an end.

The two battled in the ring and had fans chanting for both of them. They were both out on the mat, and Santana was busted open in the process. The two kept up the pace as Santana nailed his Rolling 450 for a near fall. It didn’t take much time until Nemeth nailed a massive superkick for a near fall of his own.

They kept going, and Nemeth nailed a Danger Zone for another near fall. Santana went for a Spin The Block, but Nemeth hit a superkick for not even a two-count pinfall account. Nemeth kept up the fight, and Santana couldn’t even hit Spin the Block again. Then Nemeth hit another Danger Zone for the win to become TNA World Champion for the second time.
