WWE has added another segment to the August 7 episode of SmackDown, with Cody Rhodes now set to respond to Randy Orton’s return.
Orton came back at WWE SummerSlam for the first time since his WrestleMania match against Rhodes and wasted no time getting involved. He attacked Cody during the match and cost him his WWE Championship opportunity. Now WWE is putting Rhodes in front of the camera on SmackDown, where he’ll address Orton’s return and what happened at SummerSlam.
The confirmed lineup for WWE SmackDown on August 7 includes:
- Kevin Owens and CM Punk to appear
- Chelsea Green to appear
- Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill
- Cody Rhodes responds to Randy Orton’s return
With Rhodes and Orton now clearly back in each other’s orbit, SmackDown could give fans the first real sign of where WWE is taking this feud next.
