Queen Aminata is the new AEW TBS Champion, and not even Britt Baker could stop her from taking the title. During the AEW Dynamite episode for October 28 2026, Aminata defeated Persephone to capture the championship despite Baker repeatedly interfering in the match.

The title match took place during AEW’s Fright Night Dynamite in St. Louis, Missouri, with Persephone putting her TBS Championship on the line against Aminata. The two women exchanged strikes early in the match before Aminata took control with her signature chocolate kisses and a running boot.

Baker quickly became a problem for Aminata. She distracted the challenger long enough for Persephone to regain control, allowing the champion to target Aminata’s neck. Persephone continued working over the injured area and even ripped the kinesiology tape off the back of Aminata’s neck during the match.

Aminata refused to stay down. She fought back with several clotheslines, a double stomp and a meteora that sent Persephone crashing over a chair at ringside. However, Baker wasn’t finished interfering. After already breaking up one of Aminata’s pin attempts without the referee noticing, Baker struck Aminata with the TBS Championship belt while the official was checking on Persephone.

Persephone took advantage and delivered a moonsault from the top rope, but Aminata somehow kicked out. Baker was visibly frustrated at ringside as the champion failed to put her challenger away.

That turned out to be Persephone’s last major opportunity. Aminata recovered and connected with a headbutt before delivering a running knee strike to secure the three-count and win the AEW TBS Championship.

The victory gives Aminata a major championship moment on Dynamite, especially considering the lengths Baker went to in an attempt to help Persephone retain. Despite the distractions, the belt shot and Persephone’s offense, Aminata managed to walk away with the title.

The result also raises questions about Baker’s involvement in the TBS Championship picture. Her repeated attempts to interfere weren’t enough to prevent the title change, and it remains to be seen whether she’ll continue targeting Aminata now that there’s a new champion.

What do you think about Queen Aminata winning the AEW TBS Championship despite Britt Baker’s interference? Should Baker be next in line for a title shot? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
