WWE isn’t done shaking up the roster — and the SmackDown after WrestleMania 42 could bring even more surprises.
After Ethan Page made his main roster debut on RAW and Joe Hendry is set to follow, attention has now shifted to Friday Night SmackDown — where even more call-ups could be on the way.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is expected to introduce new talent during this week’s SmackDown — the first episode after WrestleMania 42. Before revealing that detail, Alvarez pointed out why this specific show is always one to watch, given its history of major debuts and surprises.
“Everyone’s tuning in because it’s the SmackDown after WrestleMania. Let’s see here…well, we’ll see who debuts—I’ve been told there will be call-ups.”
That lines up with earlier reports suggesting that WWE has been actively discussing several names for main roster moves, including Jacy Jayne as a potential addition to SmackDown following her loss to Lola Vice on NXT, leading to speculation she’s on her way to the main roster.
With WrestleMania fallout still playing out and multiple NXT stars already making the jump, WWE appears ready to keep the momentum going by refreshing the roster immediately. Bottom line: RAW already got its new faces — now SmackDown could be next.
Do you think WWE should bring up more NXT talent right after WrestleMania, or should they slow down and build them longer before the call-up? Let us know your thoughts.
