Mike Santana’s future with TNA just became even more doubtful after the former World Champion was removed from the company’s official roster page.
Santana dropped the TNA World Championship to Nic Nemeth in a bloody main event at Slammiversary 2026. He was then absent from TNA’s post-Slammiversary television tapings, and his profile is no longer listed alongside the company’s active talent.
The roster-page removal comes as speculation continues to grow that Santana could be headed to WWE before the end of the summer.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select stated that WWE sources continue to expect Santana to join the company after the relationships he built during his appearances on NXT as part of the WWE-TNA partnership.
“WWE sources continue to expect Mike Santana to join the company before the end of the summer. WrestleVotes Radio spoke with sources that pointed to the strong relationships that Santana built when he made appearances for NXT as a TNA star.”
Santana’s NXT appearances are said to have left a strong impression inside WWE. Sources believe he already formed a legitimate connection with the WWE audience, which has only improved his standing with the company.
“There’s an internal belief that Santana already has an authentic connection with the WWE Universe, which is something that isn’t easy to create. This has only strengthened his standing with the company. One source noted that it would be a surprise if Mike Santana didn’t arrive to the company relatively soon.”
Santana had already fueled departure speculation by posting “7/15” on social media as his TNA contract approached its expiration. His Slammiversary loss, television absence and removal from TNA’s roster page now make it look even more like his run with the company has reached the finish line.
TNA has not formally announced Santana’s departure, and WWE has not confirmed that he has signed. Still, removing him from the official roster page is the clearest sign yet that Santana may no longer be part of TNA’s active plans.
