Mick Foley has already shown plenty of love to Megan Bayne and Divine Dominion, but apparently one bow wasn’t enough. After watching the absolute carnage at AEW Blood & Guts, the WWE Hall of Famer found himself paying tribute to Bayne all over again.
Following the November 4 episode of AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts, Foley took to Instagram and uploaded a photo of himself bowing down to Bayne. The timing made the shot even crazier, as Bayne was still covered in blood from the brutal women’s Blood & Guts match while Foley joined her in doing her signature pose. Foley clearly had no problem embracing his role as Bayne’s “hardcore servant” after seeing what she had just put herself through.
“@themeganbayne – this humble hardcore servant gladly bows down before thee!”
The moment continues a running joke between Foley and Divine Dominion that started earlier this year. During an appearance with Bayne and Lena Kross in July, Foley famously misunderstood their demand to “bow down” and started barking instead, later joking that he had confused “bow down” with “bow wow.”
By September, however, Foley was doing exactly what he was told. After Bayne and Kross battled The Brawling Birds in a violent Chicago Street Fight at All Out, Foley uploaded another video of himself repeatedly bowing to Divine Dominion.
Blood & Guts apparently gave Foley another reason to show his respect. Bayne competed alongside Kross, Thekla, Skye Blue, Julia Hart and Persephone against Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor in a match loaded with broken glass, barbed wire and plenty of blood.
Bayne’s team ultimately came up short after Julia Hart submitted, but that clearly didn’t matter to Foley. Seeing Bayne bloodied after another violent performance was enough for the Hardcore Legend to bow down once again — and this time he was right there beside her to do it.
How many more brutal matches will it take before Mick Foley officially becomes an honorary member of Divine Dominion? Let us know what you think in the comments.
