During WWE NXT on November 4, 2026, the Dusty Cup finals took place with Cody Rhodes making a special appearance to honor his late father. Rhodes received his own entrance before stepping into the ring to shake hands with both teams. He then joined commentary to watch the match unfold.
Hank and Tank used their strength early, delivering several double-team moves to keep Dar and Moreno on the defensive. However, Dar and Moreno managed to turn things around with their speed and technical offense, including a series of submissions that nearly ended the match.
The action eventually spilled outside the ring, where both teams traded punishment around the announce table. Moreno connected with a diving splash onto Hank and Tank before Dar helped regain control.
Hank and Tank nearly secured the victory after hitting consecutive splashes on Dar, but he managed to kick out at two. The former NXT Tag Team Champions then attempted their Honk-Honk finishing combination, only for Dar and Moreno to counter with simultaneous ankle locks.
The closing moments saw Hank connect with a Bossman Slam, but Moreno intervened before Dar and Moreno delivered stereo Cross Rhodes followed by a high-low combination. Moreno covered Tank to secure the three-count, giving his team the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic victory.
Following the match, Cody Rhodes entered the ring to present Dar and Moreno with the Dusty Cup trophy. However, Rhodes had another announcement for the tournament winners.
Cody revealed that winning the tournament also earned Dar and Moreno a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships next week, giving the newly crowned Dusty Cup winners an opportunity to add championship gold to their accomplishments.
