Mercedes Moné briefly brought back the Sasha Banks energy after AEW All In 2026. Hours after becoming AEW Women’s World Champion, Mercedes was caught singing along when her old WWE entrance theme played at the after-party.
Footage from the August 30 celebration shows Mercedes standing near the DJ setup when “Sky’s the Limit” came through the speakers. It is unclear who requested the song or decided to play it, but Mercedes clearly enjoyed the surprise.
The new champion started singing along as the party continued around her. The track is closely tied to her years performing as Sasha Banks and followed her through some of the biggest moments of her WWE career.
Mercedes left the Sasha Banks name behind when she departed WWE, but she wasn’t running from the nostalgia. When the familiar music hit, she smiled, sang along and enjoyed the moment.
She already had plenty to celebrate. Earlier in the night, Mercedes defeated Willow Nightingale to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship after trapping her in the Statement Maker until she passed out. The victory came with a painful price. Mercedes later revealed that Willow broke her nose at the beginning of the match, forcing her to receive stitches after leaving the ring.
A broken nose and stitches didn’t stop Mercedes from joining the celebration. By the end of the night, she was singing along to the song that once introduced Sasha Banks to the world—with another World Championship now in her possession.
