Lola Vice disappeared from WWE television for more than a month after saying goodbye to NXT, leaving fans wondering what she was doing before finally showing up on RAW. As it turns out, she wasn’t taking time off—she was preparing for the biggest opportunity of her WWE career.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Vice opened up about the four-to-five-week gap between her final NXT match, where she lost to Kendal Grey, and her RAW debut in Mexico City. Instead of treating it like a break, she said she approached it the same way she would prepare for an MMA fight.
“From my last match, the Underground match, to my debut in Mexico, I had four or five weeks to be home and reset. I took that like a fight camp, like if I was gonna go back into the cage, so I got into the best shape I could.”
Vice explained that she wasn’t simply relaxing at home waiting for the call. She spent the time training at the WWE Performance Center, pushing herself with multiple workouts every day because she wanted to be completely ready when the opportunity came.
“I went to train at the Performance Center. I worked out two times a day. I took it seriously, and I’m very passionate about it.”
Looking back now, it’s easy to see why she took that approach. Vice returned by winning a Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match in her first RAW bout, defeating Kelani Jordan and Raquel Rodriguez to punch her ticket to the ladder match. She then followed that up by officially joining the RAW roster and immediately finding herself face-to-face with Roxanne Perez.
Instead of viewing those five weeks as time away from WWE, Vice treated them as an investment in what came next. Judging by how quickly she made an impact after arriving on RAW, it’s hard to argue with the results.
