Logan Paul thought he was getting closer to a WWE return. A backstage conversation with Michael Hayes quickly reminded him that the company has a very different timeline in mind.

After recently calling himself “semi-cleared” following triceps surgery, Paul has now revealed he was told not to expect medical clearance until at least November. According to Hayes, that timeline didn’t come from him—it came from Bruce Prichard, Triple H and WWE’s medical team.

The exchange happened during Paul’s latest vlog while he was backstage at WWE. Before Paul even ran into Hayes, someone told him the longtime producer had already been warning people not to believe anything Logan might say about his medical status. That immediately caught Paul’s attention because, in his mind, he was getting closer and closer to returning.

“Bro, you’re looking bigger than ever. Last night in rehearsal, Michael Hayes is like, ‘No matter what Logan says, he is not clear.’”

Paul couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, but he also made it obvious how badly he wants to get back in the ring after spending months on the sidelines.

“What the f***? I’m not secretly entering, bro. I want to f****** wrestle, bro. I’m tired of being sidelined.”

Rather than letting the comment go, Paul eventually tracked Hayes down backstage to ask him about it directly. He wanted to know why Hayes was telling people he wasn’t medically cleared when he felt like his recovery was moving in the right direction.

“I heard you’re telling… you’re going around telling people that I’m not medically clear.”

Hayes didn’t hesitate with his answer. He flatly told Paul he wasn’t cleared and then revealed the timetable he’d been given for the YouTuber’s return, as he said:

“You’re not. You’re not cleared till at least November.”

Paul immediately pushed back, but Hayes insisted the information wasn’t coming from him. He said both Bruce Prichard and Paul “Triple H” Levesque had relayed the same timeline after consulting WWE’s medical staff: “No, Michael.”

Hayes then made it clear this came from Bruce Prichard and Triple H, saying, “This came from Bruce and Paul.” Paul still wasn’t buying it, as he said, “What do they know about my tricep?” Hayes’ response was simple: “Nothing. They just asked medical people.”

Paul has been sidelined since tearing his triceps earlier this year and recently revealed he had progressed enough to start throwing clotheslines again, describing himself as “semi-cleared.” If Hayes’ information is accurate, however, fans may have to wait until at least November before Paul is medically cleared for an in-ring return.
