Logan Paul isn’t fully cleared to wrestle yet, but he can apparently start throwing clotheslines again. After months of recovering from triceps surgery, he’s now calling himself “semi cleared.”

During his latest vlog on August 26, Paul gave a look at where his recovery currently stands and eventually shared the biggest wrestling-related development while talking to Liv Morgan. At first, he made it sound like he had received the all-clear: “They cleared me. I was just telling Bruce.”

That sounded like pretty huge news considering how long Paul has been out. But he quickly clarified that he isn’t actually cleared for a full WWE return just yet. What he has been allowed to do is start throwing clotheslines. Paul then gave his current status a much more accurate label.

“Well, they said I could throw, bro. No, no, they said I could throw clotheslines. I’m semi cleared.”

That wasn’t the only progress he showed. Paul also finally returned to the gym after largely staying away from training following his surgery. He explained that he deliberately avoided heavily training his healthy arm because he didn’t want one side getting considerably stronger while the injured arm continued recovering.

“But also, I was afraid to just work out one arm and get this one arm even stronger and then this one be like a little noodle. And so, my muscles have atrophied.”

“I didn’t want to have like a Hulk arm and a weak arm, so I figured I’d just let him like get weak at the same time so when I come back I can just try to do it all at once. But point is we’re hitting the gym.”

Paul tore his triceps during a WWE World Tag Team Championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event and originally faced an expected recovery of around six months. By July, however, he was already claiming doctors had him roughly three months ahead of schedule.

He still has some work left before he can actually get back in the ring for a match. But going from surgery and muscle atrophy to working out again and being allowed to throw clotheslines is another pretty big step toward getting there.

When do you think Logan Paul will be fully cleared for his WWE return? Let us know in the comments.
