Lince Dorado is officially next in line for Rey Fenix.

AAA Noche de los Grandes Week 2 kicked off with a five-way match to determine the new #1 contender for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. Mini Vikingo, Octagón Jr., Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado all battled for the shot after Rey Fenix won the title from Laredo Kid last week.

The match wasted no time getting wild. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro worked together early as the LWO members double-teamed Mini Vikingo and tossed him around with suplexes. That teamwork did not last long, because Wilde quickly tried to roll up Del Toro and steal the win.

From there, everyone got their chance to shine. Octagón Jr. hit a diving armdrag, Vikingo used his speed and gymnastics-style offense to take people down, and Del Toro wiped out several competitors with a tornado off the top turnbuckle.

Dorado stayed in the fight and eventually found his opening. He hit a double stunner on Wilde and Del Toro before Wilde came back with a DDT. Dorado answered with a brainbuster and then went to the top rope.

With everyone else down on the outside, Dorado hit a shooting star press on Wilde and got the three-count. Lince Dorado defeated Mini Vikingo, Octagón Jr., Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro to become the #1 contender for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.

That means Dorado is now lined up for a future shot at Rey Fenix and the title. Fenix just won the championship, but he already has his first challenger waiting.
