Tony Khan just dropped another match onto the September 16, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, and this one comes with a direct ticket to All Out.
About an hour before Dynamite went live, Khan announced that Hangman Page, Brody King and Bandido will collide with Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong in a huge trios match where the winners earn an AEW World Trios Championship opportunity at the pay-per-view.
Khan revealed the match during a live Twitter video ahead of Dynamite, explaining that AEW is launching a World Trios Championship Series heading into All Out. The Conglomeration are coming off a recent win and looking to get back into the title picture, while Hangman, Brody and Bandido are chasing the same opportunity. Khan laid out exactly what is on the line for the two teams tonight.
“Tonight on Wednesday Night Dynamite, just minutes away here in Virginia, we are going to have the Home State Hero Virginia’s own Hangman Page teaming up with Brodito against former Champions, The Conglomeration.”
The stakes are bigger than just picking up another win. Khan confirmed that whoever survives tonight will move directly into a World Trios Championship match at All Out.
“The winners of that match will go on to All Out to challenge for the World Trios Championship.”
There is still one major piece of the puzzle that has to be settled first. Khan also announced that Swerve Strickland and The New Level will defend the AEW World Trios Championship next week against Ricochet and The Gates of Agony, with the winner of that match moving on to defend the titles against tonight’s victorious team.
“Next week, Swerve and The New Level will defend the Championship versus The Demand… the winners of tonight’s match versus the winners of next week’s match for the Championship at All Out.”
That gives AEW a short tournament-style path into All Out, with two Dynamite matches determining exactly who will fight for the World Trios Championship. It also adds another major match to an already loaded September 16 card just minutes before the show hit the air.
The updated AEW Dynamite lineup for September 16, 2026 now includes:
- Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo & Francesco Akira vs. Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd & Pac
- Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne
- Jamie Hayter vs. Lena Kross
- Darby Allin, Steven Borden, Christian Cage & Adam Copeland vs. FTR, Kevin Knight & Kyle Fletcher
- Hangman Page, Brody King & Bandido vs. Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong — winners earn an AEW World Trios Championship match at All Out
With a championship match at All Out hanging in the balance, Hangman Page, Brody King and Bandido now have a huge opportunity against three former World Trios Champions. The winner will have to wait until next week to find out exactly who they will face, but their spot at All Out will already be locked in.
Who do you think should win the trios match and move on to challenge for the AEW World Trios Championship at All Out? Let us know what you think in the comments.
