Julius Creed is going through a heartbreaking loss away from WWE. The Creed Brothers member revealed that his beloved dog Captain has passed away, and his farewell made it clear this one hit incredibly hard.
Creed shared the news on Instagram alongside several photos documenting his life with Captain. Rather than simply announcing his passing, he remembered the personality that made “Happy Cappy” such an important part of his life—and admitted there are qualities in Captain that he hopes to carry with him.
The photos Creed included made that message even more personal, capturing different moments with the dog he simply called his “buddy.” Captain clearly wasn’t just appearing in the background of Creed’s life. He was there for a lot of it.
“Captain. My Happy Cappy. My buddy. Gone unexpectedly & way too soon. Loved big, didn’t care what anybody thought, & were always happy. I aspire to live life like you. Grief is a price we pay for love. As much as this sucks it was all worth it.”
That final line said plenty. Creed isn’t hiding how painful losing Captain has been, especially with his death coming “way too soon,” but he wouldn’t trade the time they had together to avoid what he’s feeling now.
The devastating news also comes during an extended stretch away from the ring for Creed. He hasn’t competed since May 2026, when he was involved in the Mask vs. Mask match between El Grande Americano and El Grande Americano.
There’s still no word on when Creed will return to WWE competition. Wrestling can wait, though. Right now, he’s mourning Captain—and remembering a best friend whose approach to life apparently left him with something worth carrying forward. Our thoughts are with Julius Creed as he deals with the loss of Captain.
