Je’Von Evans already has a WrestleMania entrance in his head, and he knows exactly what song he wants blasting through the stadium. During a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic at SummerSlam in Minnesota, Evans was asked what track he would license for a one-time special WWE entrance, and Mobb Deep made the cut.
Evans actually gave two choices. His first was “Red Opps” by 21 Savage, a song he connected directly to his independent wrestling days and the version of himself fans saw before WWE.
“Honestly, I got two. Going back to my indie days, ‘Red Opps’ by 21 Savage. I feel like that was just—that was just me, for real, you know? That was just Von Evans, you feel me?”
Then Evans switched gears and named “Shook Ones, Part II” by Mobb Deep. This time, he wasn’t thinking about the indies. He was picturing a full-blown WrestleMania entrance with the song hitting inside a massive stadium.
“And then the other one, I feel like ‘Shook Ones, Part II’ from Mobb Deep. You feel me? I feel like ‘Shook Ones,’ that would go crazy in the arena, you feel me? WrestleMania.”
When The Wrestling Classic asked if Evans could already visualize what that entrance would look like, he made it clear he could see the crowd going nuts as soon as the music hit.
“It’s just jumping, you feel me?”
Evans has built much of his identity around his energy and connection with the crowd, so bringing a track like “Shook Ones, Part II” into a WrestleMania setting would certainly fit the type of entrance he has in mind. Whether WWE ever clears the song is another story, but Evans already knows what he wants if he gets the chance.
