Conor McGregor’s knee gave out at UFC 329, and Jake Paul wasted absolutely no time turning it into a joke.
Paul took to Twitter after McGregor’s disastrous comeback against Max Holloway and uploaded a video mocking the exact moment the fight fell apart. Standing near a pool, Jake threw a couple of kicks like McGregor did in the opening round, made exaggerated pain noises, then grabbed his knee and tumbled into the water. As he went down, Paul yelled: “Ow, ow, ow!” He kept the caption just as ruthless.
“UFC highlights from tonight.”
The video came after McGregor’s first UFC fight in five years ended almost as soon as it began. He threw an early kick, planted on his right leg and collapsed when the knee buckled underneath him. McGregor tried to continue, but the leg failed again and officials stopped the fight before Holloway ever had the chance to settle in.
Jake’s post turned that brutal ending into a full-blown comedy bit, but he was not the only Paul brother piling on. Logan Paul had already posted his own reaction video, laughing as McGregor struggled and calling him “washed up” before challenging him to a boxing match. He also bragged about winning $30,000 after betting on Holloway.
McGregor left the arena still wearing his full fight gear and refusing to use crutches, while speculation immediately started over how serious the knee damage could be. The full diagnosis is still unclear, but that did not stop the Paul brothers from turning his comeback collapse into content before the night was even over.
McGregor waited five years to return to the Octagon. Jake Paul needed only a few seconds to turn the ending into a punchline.
Do you think Jake Paul went too far mocking Conor McGregor’s injury, or was it fair game after years of trash talk? Let us know in the comments.
