Jade Cargill is adding her voice to the growing list of WWE stars dealing with chaotic fan situations during WrestleMania week — and she says it was a lot to handle.
After videos surfaced showing McIntyre surrounded by fans and forced to push his way out, plus other incidents involving CM Punk and Randy Orton, Cargill shared her own experience while speaking to Club 520 — and it lines up with everything that’s been happening behind the scenes.
Before getting into WrestleMania weekend specifically, Cargill explained that the lifestyle itself already comes with pressure that fans don’t always see, especially when it comes to constant travel and balancing personal life.
“People don’t see the dark side of wrestling as far as the traveling—the traveling is so tough, dealing with all the other things. We have families and all kinds of stuff. The fact that fans show up and spend their hard-earned money and stand in line for hours to shake our hands means the world.”
She then shifted to what WrestleMania week in Las Vegas was actually like, making it clear that even with appreciation for fans, the situation quickly became overwhelming. Cargill broke down just how packed the schedule was, with appearances, live events, and signings happening nonstop — leaving very little room for unscheduled interactions.
“But it was very overwhelming this weekend. There were all the live events, there were appearances and signings, so if you wanna see us, just come see us at our meet and greets. I’m only gonna stop when I have time.”
From there, she made it clear why situations like the one involving McIntyre keep happening, pointing out how little downtime talent actually has while moving between commitments. And finally, she tied it directly back to what fans have been seeing online, confirming that the crowds at hotels weren’t a one-off issue — they were happening across the board.
““The majority of the time, we’re rushing and going left and right. We did the best we could do with all the mobs that were going on at the hotel.”
So, Drew McIntyre forcing his way through a crowd, CM Punk’s confrontation, and Randy Orton getting surrounded weren’t separate incidents. According to Jade Cargill, WrestleMania week turned into a non-stop rush with fans everywhere, and once those crowds built up in hotels, things quickly got out of control.
Do you think WrestleMania week has gotten too overwhelming for WWE stars outside the shows, or should fans still be able to approach them in public spaces? Let us know your thoughts.
