Enzo Amore suddenly resurfaced inside WWE territory this week after being spotted at the WWE Performance Center ahead of NXT on The CW.

According to False Finish, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was recently at the Performance Center and was there again yesterday before the NXT broadcast. The sighting immediately raises questions considering Enzo has been gone from WWE since January 2018 following his controversial release from the company.

WWE suspended Enzo after sexual assault allegations became public and officially released him one day later. The investigation was later closed with no charges filed after the Phoenix Police Department and Maricopa County Attorney’s Office completed their review of the case.

Now, after years away from WWE, Enzo showing up backstage around the company again is naturally going to spark speculation about whether some kind of return could eventually happen.

The timing also stands out because his longtime tag team partner Big Cass, now wrestling as Big Bill in AEW, may soon be available as well.

It was reported earlier this year there was belief Big Bill’s AEW contract was expected to expire around the end of May or beginning of June. Since then, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion has barely wrestled in AEW, competing in only two matches this calendar year. His last appearance came during a parking lot street fight on Collision back in February. That has already led to questions about whether WWE could potentially reunite the former tag team under the current regime.

Enzo and Cass became one of WWE’s most recognizable acts during their run together in NXT and on the main roster thanks to their promo work and larger-than-life presentation before the team eventually split apart.

At this point, there’s still no confirmation Enzo is returning to WWE television, but his appearance at the Performance Center is definitely going to get attention internally throughout the wrestling industry.

Do you think WWE should bring Enzo Amore and Big Cass back together, or should the company move in a different direction? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
